Standard Consultation Fees

For an Individual

  • The standard fee is $180 for a 50 minute session.

For a Couple

  • The standard fee is $240 for a 75 minute session
  • If you elect to do the Gottman Relationship Checkup, a one off fee of $100 is payable at the conclusion of the first session.

Cancellation Policy

You may be charged a fee if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice. For compassionate exceptions, please speak to Briony.

Covering the Price of Your Sessions

Subsidised by the Better Access to Mental Health Plan

If your General Practitioner considers that you qualify, they may provide you with a Mental Health Care Plan which allows you to have up to 10 sessions of focussed psychological strategies per year.  Book a longer appointment with your doctor to discuss this option. The doctor requires a report after six sessions before he/she can allow you to access further assistance. For further information about a Mental Health Treatment Plan, see Health Direct. 

We are not a bulk billing clinic. The current rebate for individual work is $79.05. That leaves a gap of $100.95 for a standard session. This must be paid on the day of your session.

Unfortunately Mental Health Care Plans are not designed for relationship issues and Medicare does not permit practitioners to use them for Couples Counselling. They are designed for individual mood problems.

Subsidised by Your Private Health Cover

Rebates are available with extras cover through Teachers Health and Bupa. Unfortunately it is not permitted to claim both the Mental Health Care Plan in addition to a private health rebate.
