Hi, nice to meet you.
A little about me:

I am a member of:
  • Australian Association of Social Workers (Accredited Mental Health)
  • Australian Association of Cognitive Behavioural Therapists
  • Society of Australian Sexology (General Member)
  • Australian Society of Hypnosis (Associate)

My working life has been primarily in government settings prior to my decision to develop my own practice in 2008.

Welcoming you into my home-office is an extension of my care for, and trust in, my clients.  Your trust in me is supported by the skills and wisdom that 25 years of counselling experience provides. My practice is based on tried and tested science-based methods and I maintain currency in best-practices in therapies.  However, I am also a wife, a mother, a daughter, a worker, have been divorced and re-married, and have experienced the highs and lows of relationships and relationship breakdowns…we’re in this life together.

Non-judgmental, I counsel couples, individuals or families with empathy and humour and use the most appropriate research-based therapy for each individual client.

My qualifications include:

  • Family Therapy training at Bower Place
  • Narrative Therapy at the Dulwich Centre
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy training with Dr Robyn Walser
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy training at UniSA

After a thorough assessment, my goal for each client is to help find ways to:

  • resolve long-standing issues that have hindered a relationship
  • break through personal barriers to success
  • develop strategies and skills to counter the effects of anxiety, depression or trauma
  • overcome difficult life circumstances
  • become the best version of yourself
  • find hope that you can change your life
  • find methods to gain relief from pain
  • understand and deal with issues related to the use of alcohol and other habits. This applies to anyone concerned about their own or another's use of alcohol and other substances
